A Lumad-Matigsalog term which means seedbed. The term stresses the program's commitment to root development of IPs in realities of their life and culture.

EDUCATIONAL APPROACH
The program provides a variety of school and community-based academic and non-academic formation addressing critical needs of various indigenous communities of the country. Through a ladderized educational approach, the Center offers both full-time degree courses as well as short-term training courses. Each course can be credited towards earning an Associate degree program in two (2) years, and a Bachelor's degree program in four (4) years.
This approach enable the Center to provide a variety of school and community-based academic formation addressing critical needs of the various indigenous communities in the country. It uses CYCLE of learning system that start from EXPERIENCE leading to THEORY, APPLICATION, EVALUATION and REFLECTION. It is a system where students attend academic sessions while their practical training and application are done in the IP communities.
